PNN – Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) military alliance, in a statement, assessed the threat of terrorism in Europe as a real and permanent threat.
According to Pakistan News Network’s report from TASS news agency, the Secretary General of NATO stated that the organization does not see an immediate military threat against the member countries of this alliance and emphasized: “But there is a constant danger, and that is the real threat of terrorism in Europe.”
He added: “We cooperate with our partners in the Middle East and North Africa, including Jordan and Tunisia, and help them better control their borders and share information.”
The Secretary General of NATO also pointed to the situation in Gaza while expressing concern about the escalation of conflicts in this region, and emphasized that this military alliance has never played an active role in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but is still active in the region.
