NATO’s plan to create land routes for the purpose of transporting American forces to Europe

PNN – The Telegraph newspaper wrote: The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) is looking for the rapid transfer of American forces to the front line of the war through land corridors in the event of a possible confrontation between Europe and Russia.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this newspaper added: New land corridors are being built for the rapid transfer of troops through Central Europe and bypassing local obstacles.

Officials told The Telegraph that the plan also includes precautions in case of Russian bombing, allowing troops to quickly reach Russia’s northern border via these corridors in Italy, Greece and Turkey, or via routes in the Scandinavian region.

This plan allows American soldiers to land in one of 5 ports across Europe. One of these ports provides access to the western border of Ukraine and the other four ports provide access to the Russian border through Finland.

NATO already has plans to deploy American troops in the Netherlands before moving them to Poland by train in the event of war.

A senior Norwegian general recently warned that Europe has only two to three years to prepare for significant Russian attacks on the alliance. It is said that NATO is now considering possible measures to counter this alleged attack.

The aim of the plans is to ensure NATO troops can move through Europe without delays caused by local regulations and checkpoints – as the French government has struggled to move tanks across the border en route to Romania.

According to this plan, Greece and Turkey, both NATO members, could also provide routes through Romania and the southern coast of Ukraine.

Tensions have risen in recent weeks, with Russian President Vladimir Putin publicly raising the possibility of “World War III” as the “deadly consequences” of Ukraine’s Western allies’ decision to allow the country to use its weapons on Russian soil.

Ukraine’s challenge in dealing with Russia has led European leaders to adopt a tougher stance towards Moscow. Some are now suggesting the deployment of troops to the east and unprecedented defense investments.

NATO leaders agreed last year to prepare 300,000 troops to be kept on high alert to defend a NATO member state in the event of a possible attack.

Last December, NATO tested its readiness for a possible war in Europe by conducting joint exercises with Britain and its allies in the Baltic region.
