Referring to the country’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, a former US military officer claimed that Washington has very, very limited ability to know what ISIS is doing in Khorasan. As a result, the government is considering sharing more information with the Taliban about this branch of the ISIS terrorist group.

According to NBC, some US officials are willing to reopen the US embassy to allow more cooperation between Washington’s intelligence agencies and the Taliban, although the country has not yet recognized Afghanistan’s caretaker government.

The caretaker government of Afghanistan considers the ISIS Khorasan group as a threat to Afghanistan and has carried out a series of attacks against this group.
