Negotiations between Pakistan and Afghanistan regarding the reopening of the “Torkham” border
Negotiations between the Pakistani authorities and the Taliban interim government in Afghanistan continue to reopen the Torkham border, which has been closed since January 12 due to a dispute over visas for truck drivers.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the interim government of the Taliban, announced in a conversation with Anatolia news agency that the details of the talks between Islamabad and Kabul regarding the reopening of the Torkham border will be published soon.
It should be mentioned that the border of Torkham was closed by Pakistan on January 12 due to problems related to the issuance of visas for truck drivers on vehicles. But passenger traffic continues through it.
The closure of this border to the passage of trucks has caused protests by Afghan businessmen.
