PNN – Sudan’s ambassador to Egypt has accused the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) of using nerve agents against residents of El Fasher.

According to a report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Mayadeen, Ambassador Imad al-Din Adawi said the RSF used banned chemical weapons during their assault on the city.

He added that the use of such nerve agents is prohibited under international law. El Fasher, he said, witnessed heavy attacks, the deployment of armored vehicles, and a total communications blackout. Sudanese army forces decided to withdraw from the city to protect the lives of civilians who had been taken hostage.

Adawi described the events in El Fasher as a continuation of atrocities committed by the RSF in Omdurman, Sennar, White Nile, and El Geneina, wherever the group has operated. He accused the RSF of harboring racist views and believing that others should be killed brutally. “Who armed and financed these militias? Why is the UN Security Council not taking action?” he asked.

Suleiman Ishaq, Sudan’s Minister of State for Social Welfare also said that RSF fighters killed at least 300 women during the first two days of their offensive on El Fasher in western Sudan.
