Netanyahu begging for ceasefire assistance from the United States.

In a part of its report focusing on the US government’s efforts to realize the prisoner exchange agreement between Hamas and Israel, American media has pointed to Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to persuade the Americans to achieve this agreement.

The Axios website, close to American and Israeli sources, in its report published on Thursday, stated that Netanyahu grabbed the arm of an official of Joe Biden’s government who was in charge of pursuing the prisoner exchange case and said, “We need this agreement.”

In this report, the American media claimed that the continuous pressure of “Joe Biden”, the president of the United States, on the heads of the Middle East countries was one of the key factors in the finalization of this agreement between Israel and Hamas.

“Majed bin Mohammad Al-Ansari”, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, announced this Thursday that the temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip will begin at seven o’clock tomorrow local time. Al-Ansari, pointing out that the first group of prisoners will be exchanged at 16:00 of the same day, expressed hope that this ceasefire will become a permanent ceasefire.

According to the Axios website, after the Hamas operation, Biden has appointed Jake Sullivan, Biden’s senior advisor on Middle East issues, and another senior advisor, Josh Glatzer, to form a secret task force to free the “hostages”.

As the American base reported, in one of McGurk’s meetings with Netanyahu, the discussions between the two officials became controversial after McGurk said that the White House’s opinion is that the governance of Gaza should be handed over to the Palestinian Authority after the end of the war in Gaza.

According to Axios, Netanyahu told McGurk at that meeting in Tel Aviv: “Our soldiers are not fighting in Gaza so that a Fatahistan (in Gaza) is left, which will soon turn into a Hamasistan once again.”

As McGurk was leaving the meeting, Netanyahu grabbed McGurk’s arm and said, “We need this deal,” a US official said. He then asked McGurk to call Biden once again with the Emir of Qatar so that he could complete the prisoner exchange agreement.
