Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu posted a message on his personal page on the X social network, claiming: Charlie Kirk was murdered for speaking the truth and defending freedom. He was a lion-hearted friend of Israel, fought lies and stood tall for Judeo-Christian civilization. I spoke to him just two weeks ago and invited him to Israel. Unfortunately, this meeting will not take place.
He added: We have lost a wonderful human being.
Netanyahu claimed: His boundless pride in America and his courageous belief in freedom of speech will leave a lasting impression!
Hours ago, a middle-aged gunman shot Kirk in the neck while he was giving a speech at a university in the US state of Butte.
Kirk is considered one of Trump’s most prominent close allies.
He headed the influential youth organization Turning Point USA and had 5.2 million followers on social media.
Analysts said Kirk’s death would be a huge loss for the Trump campaign.
