PNN – Tel Aviv Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with ABC on Sunday, February 11, that not entering Rafah means defeating the war and keeping Hamas there.
Pakistan News Network; “I have ordered our forces to plan the evacuation of hundreds of thousands of Rafah residents before the ground offensive,” is another part of Netanyahu’s statement to mitigate criticism of his policies in expanding the war.
Despite the passage of 128 days of the war against Gaza and the increase in the casualties of the Israeli army, which caused the withdrawal of battalions and brigades, Netanyahu rejected Hamas’ conditions for a cease-fire and claimed that he continued the ground attack up to Rafah and within the next 2 weeks, the operation will begin in this southern city of Gaza.

This decision caused many protests and made even the Israeli army officials to oppose it. Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Herzi Halevi, emphasized that “operations in Rafah require the provision of favorable conditions, including evacuation operations and coordination with Egypt.”
Rafah is located in the south of the Gaza Strip and houses more than one million displaced Palestinians. An area closes to the Egyptian border, which has been targeted by the Israeli army several times and has resulted in the martyrdom of dozens of Palestinian refugees.
In another part of the conversation with this American media, Netanyahu claimed that “we will provide a safe way for civilians to leave there; I agree with the White House officials on this matter.”
