Netanyahu faces new crisis as Haredis initiate economic boycott of Israel.

In protest against the conscription law and the arrest of their comrades by the regime’s army for military service, the leaders of the Haredi movement are considering boycotting the products of major Israeli companies and dealing a major economic blow to the Zionist regime.

According to the report, rabbis, rabbis and members of the councils of great Torah scholars, will for a month prohibit Haredis from consuming products from large companies such as Strauss Food and Dairy Industries, Tenova, and Osem, as well as other large and influential companies.

A person involved in the Jewish courts told Israel’s Channel 13 in this regard: The Haredi population is about one and a half million people, we can cause significant economic damage to large companies, and this will put pressure on decision-makers. We will not remain silent in the face of the arrest of Haredis for military service by the army.

This is while economic experts believe that such a measure would harm the Israeli economy, but it is not yet clear how much damage the companies will suffer.

However, this is not the first time that the Haredi have boycotted large Israeli companies. In 2023, they boycotted Angel bakeries, which led to the company’s apology to the Haredi community. The company’s representative in Bnei Barak (a Haredi settlement) participated in a demonstration calling for Haredi conscription.

Channel 13 went on to write that the only thing that would prevent the Haredi leaders from boycotting Israeli companies at this time is the draft exemption law that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promised the Haredi community before forming the current cabinet.
