Netanyahu: Nothing will stop us from eliminating Hamas.

Netanyahu: Nothing will stop us from eliminating Hamas.
In a situation where Israel’s ground operations in Gaza have failed to achieve their goals, the prime minister of this regime claimed on Thursday that he is determined to eliminate Hamas.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Israeli regime, in a conversation with the US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, emphasized Tel Aviv’s commitment to the realization of this regime’s war goal of “eliminating Hamas”.

Netanyahu, who attended a news conference after meeting with Blinken in Jerusalem, said that he told the US Secretary of State that the perpetrators of this morning’s shooting were “the same as Hamas” who attacked Israel from Gaza on October 7.

The Prime Minister of Israel emphasized: “I told him: we have sworn and I have sworn to eliminate Hamas.” He added that the war in Gaza will continue until the group is completely eradicated and all the “hostages” are freed.

Netanyahu claimed: “Nothing will stop us.”

The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, on the 7th of October in response to more than seven decades of occupation of Palestine and nearly two decades of the siege of Gaza and imprisonment and torture of thousands of Palestinians, began the operation known as “Al-Aqsa Storm”.

This operation was one of the deadliest attacks against this regime. Hamas fighters penetrated the occupied territories at several points of the border fences, attacked the villages, and besides killing a large number of Israelis, captured a number of them. These attacks have led to the martyrdom of more than 15,000 people, of which more than 5,500 are children.

In response to this operation, the Zionist regime launched heavy attacks against Gaza and put this area under complete siege. Israel has declared its goal of this operation to destroy Hamas, but many analysts doubt its possibility even inside occupied Palestine.

Many Western and European personalities have stated in the past days that Hamas is an ideology and it is not possible to destroy it. For example, Josep Burrell, the European Union’s foreign policy official, said at a meeting in Barcelona a few days ago that Hamas is an ideology and it cannot be destroyed.

“Matthew Miller”, the spokesman of the US State Department, also said that Anthony Blinken emphasized “Israel’s right to defend itself” in his meeting with Netanyahu.

Despite this, according to the CNN report, Blinken also criticized Israel’s policies in the West Bank and demanded that the extremist residents of the settlements be held responsible for the escalation of tensions against the Palestinians.

The US Secretary of State also asked Israel to take all possible measures to prevent harm to civilians.

America has strongly supported the attacks of the Israeli regime after October 7. Joe Biden’s government has said in recent days that it only supports “ceasefires” in Gaza and is not in favor of a ceasefire that could benefit Hamas.

The White House has so far resisted calls from human rights activists and some Democratic politicians to end Israeli attacks. Officials of the Biden administration say that improving the humanitarian situation in Gaza will only be possible through these temporary ceasefires.

Despite this, human rights organizations emphasize that temporary ceasefires are not enough to meet humanitarian needs in Gaza. Amnesty International’s Paul O’Brien said yesterday that “short-term pauses are not enough to meet field needs and address the human rights situation in Gaza.”

On Wednesday, Amnesty International is set to unveil its campaign, which has reached nearly a million signatures, calling on Biden to push for a permanent ceasefire.

“More and more Americans are calling for this ceasefire,” he told Brien. According to the results of a recent survey conducted by the Morning Consult Institute, 53% of American voters said that they support the establishment of a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
