Netanyahu seeks to dissolve the Israeli parliament.

A new poll by Israel’s Channel 12 earlier showed that 52 percent of Israelis oppose Netanyahu’s candidacy for the upcoming elections, while 41 percent support him.

According to the poll, Yossi Cohen is the frontrunner among candidates who can lead the right wing after Netanyahu.

Netanyahu, who the International Criminal Court wants for his cabinet’s policies in the Gaza war and war crimes, had previously announced his decision to run again in the Israeli parliamentary elections, which are scheduled to be held in November 2026.

The Israeli Prime Minister and leader of the Likud Party announced on Saturday night in an interview with Israel’s Channel 14 television that he intends to run for prime minister again in the upcoming Knesset elections, which are scheduled to be held in November 2026.

The Israeli Channel 11 (Kan) had previously reported that Netanyahu was trying to move the election date to June 2026, four months earlier than the legal deadline.
