PNN – The Israeli Prime Minister, while expressing optimism about reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, said: We are talking about a 60-day ceasefire, during which half of the prisoners, both alive and dead will be returned.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in an interview with Fox News: I believe there is a good opportunity for a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza that will bring us closer to our goals.

Without referring to the recent deadly ambushes against the occupying forces in the Gaza Strip by resistance fighters, Netanyahu added: We are talking about a 60-day ceasefire, during which half of the prisoners, both living and dead, will be returned. The ceasefire agreement brings us closer to the goal I set from the beginning, which is to recover all prisoners without surrender. Using military and political pressure, we were able to return 205 prisoners, including 148 living prisoners. There are still 20 living prisoners and the bodies of 30 prisoners in Gaza, and we are committed to returning them all.

He continued: We will probably implement the distribution of aid within 60 days through our own system and also through the United Nations. We do not want to give up on what we have started, which is to distribute aid directly to the people without the interference of Hamas. We will get rid of Hamas and ensure that Gaza is no longer a threat to us.

Netanyahu, ignoring the turbulent political and economic situation in the Zionist regime due to his adventures and efforts to secure his personal interests, claimed that he was considering reopening energy markets, communications, and trade routes in the Middle East.

He explained that Israel is exploring the possibility of opening trade routes that connect Asia and Europe to Israel via the Arabian Peninsula.

Netanyahu’s remarks come as he travels to the United States and is reportedly under intense pressure from Trump to end the aggression against Gaza.
