Netanyahu: We are seeing improving conditions for a possible ceasefire in Gaza.
According to Al Jazeera, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke today (Thursday) about possibly reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
Accordingly, Netanyahu announced: We are witnessing a significant improvement in the conditions for the safe release of Israeli prisoners in Hamas custody and the establishment of a ceasefire in Gaza.
He was being interviewed by Israel’s Channel 14, and in response to the question of how possible it is to reach a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, he said: I believe that the conditions have changed a lot and are now better.
Netanyahu’s words come after US President Joe Biden announced new efforts after past failures to reach a ceasefire before leaving the White House on January 20. Qatar, Egypt, Turkey, and the United States are among the mediators of this possible peace agreement.
