Netanyahu’s attempt to postpone the elections.
Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett sent a letter to the officials of the Internal Services and Law Enforcement Directorate this morning (Sunday), revealing that Netanyahu and his entourage are pressuring the security agencies to postpone the date of the upcoming Knesset (parliament) elections or disrupt the election process.
In this letter, Bennett attacked Netanyahu, writing: “We will not allow anyone to disrupt the elections,” and explained that postponing the elections requires the approval of a two-thirds majority (80 members) of the Knesset, which this majority currently does not agree with.
The former Prime Minister of the Zionist regime continued by calling on the heads of the security agencies, employees, judges, and members of the election committee to act according to the law despite political pressure. He added: “I am aware of the heavy pressure that the political structure is putting on you; this is not an easy task, but do not break the law and do not be afraid because a new government will soon be in place.”
The leaders of Netanyahu’s opposition parties met for the first time in five months yesterday (Saturday) to formulate an alternative plan for the cabinet, but Benny Gantz, the head of the government camp, and Naftali Bennett did not attend the meeting, and the leaders of the Arab parties were not invited.
