PNN – Israeli media sources announced that Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet will hold an important meeting today to decide on the Syrian negotiations file.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, the Israeli Channel 12 television reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will hold a “decisive meeting” with a number of prominent ministers on Sunday to review the negotiations with Syria.
According to the report, the meeting is expected to discuss the latest developments in indirect talks between the two sides in light of growing political and security pressures within Israel regarding the future of relations with Damascus.

On the other hand, the Axios website reported, citing a senior Israeli official and an informed source, that Netanyahu is expected to hold an important meeting this evening with senior ministers and heads of security agencies regarding negotiations with Syria to reach a new border security agreement.
The Israeli media agency also reported, citing Israeli sources, that the United States is pressuring the Abu Muhammad al-Julani regime to reach an agreement in the negotiations between Israel and Syria.
Last Wednesday, Channel 12 reported that Asad al-Shaibani, the Foreign Minister of the Golani regime, met with Ron Dermer, the Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs, in London, in the presence of Tom Barak, the US special envoy to Syria.
The channel reported that Al-Shaibani, Dermer and Barak discussed a draft of a new security agreement presented by the Israeli regime during the meeting.
Last week, Abu Muhammad al-Julani announced in a television interview that negotiations for a security agreement were underway.
In an interview with Turkish media, he claimed that “I don’t trust Israel.” At the same time, he said: We are on the verge of reaching an agreement with Tel Aviv through American mediation. There is a possibility of signing the agreement in the coming days. This agreement will be similar to the 1974 agreement.
Golani claimed that the agreement with the Zionist regime does not in any way mean normalizing relations with Tel Aviv or Syria joining the Abraham Accords. He said: Israel’s attack on the Syrian Ministry of Defense is tantamount to a declaration of war, but at the same time there is no choice but to reach a security agreement with Tel Aviv.
