Netanyahu’s contradictory remarks about Iran’s nuclear program’
In an interview with the American Fox Business network, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that the joint attacks by Tel Aviv and Washington on Iran in the recent war have shut down Iran’s nuclear program and that Tehran has no intention of pursuing this program.
While the Islamic Republic has announced its continued efforts to revive peaceful nuclear activities, regardless of the threats, Netanyahu claimed that the joint attacks by the United States and Israel on Iran’s nuclear program have had a tremendous impact not only on West Asia but also on the entire world.
Continuing his interview, this Zionist official repeated the threats, exaggerations, and rhetoric against the Islamic Republic, which are clear violations of international law.
In another part of this contradiction, Netanyahu claimed that Iran may try to redevelop its nuclear program and called for constant monitoring of Iran’s activities.
The Israeli prime minister also rejected his American master’s claim that Iran’s enriched uranium had been destroyed, claiming: “We almost know where this uranium is hidden underground.”
While building a nuclear bomb has never been on Iran’s agenda and the International Atomic Energy Agency has confirmed the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program, Netanyahu claimed that even if Tehran had transferred some of the enriched uranium from the main sites, Iran would no longer be able to build a nuclear weapon, because other parts of its nuclear program have also been targeted.
He said: “Enriched uranium is necessary for building a nuclear bomb, but it is not sufficient.”
According to IRNA, the Islamic Republic has always stated that, based on the Supreme Leader’s fatwa, building a nuclear bomb has no place in Iran’s peaceful nuclear doctrine, and has always expressed its readiness to negotiate with world powers to clarify the peaceful aspects of its nuclear program.
