Netanyahu’s distrust of the Shin Bet chief or fear of exposing corruption

PNN – Following Netanyahu’s decision to dismiss Ronen Bar, head of the Israeli Internal Security Service (Shin Bet), reactions and criticism increased within the occupied territories.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, According to Israeli security sources, last night (Sunday) following the announcement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of the dismissal of Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, the Israeli political atmosphere in the occupied territories became increasingly chaotic and tense.

According to the report, this morning, Netanyahu’s entourage, in an interview with the Zionist media, claimed that in all democratic countries, replacing the head of the Internal Security Service is a legitimate and accepted thing. They stated that the Prime Minister of this regime decided to dismiss Ronen Bar due to the “Qatar Gate” affair. On the other hand, after learning that Netanyahu was seeking to remove him from the Shin Bet, Ronen Bar began investigating the prime minister, who has been accused of being politically motivated.

The Israeli Prime Minister has announced that he has lost confidence in Ronen Bar as head of the Shin Bet and wants him removed.

According to the published report, protest groups did not take to the streets yesterday evening despite their anger and frustration over Netanyahu’s decision. According to the reports, it seems that a large demonstration in front of the Israeli parliament is planned by the protest groups on Wednesday.

As Netanyahu’s dismissal of Ronen Bar was discussed this morning, far-right parties happily welcomed Netanyahu’s statement, while opposition leaders leveled serious accusations against the prime minister.

Yair Golan, former deputy chief of staff of the army and head of the Democratic Party, said in this regard: Netanyahu declared war on Israel by dismissing Ronen Bar. Therefore, the prime minister’s dismissal of Ronen Bar is a desperate attempt by a criminal defendant to get rid of a person who is loyal to Israel and is investigating Netanyahu and his inner circle for major crimes.

He added: When the Shin Bet investigation began into Netanyahu and his close associates, Netanyahu angrily threatened and even dismissed security officials. However, the dismissal of the Shin Bet chief, like the dismissal of others, will not be simple and without cost; rather, it will be met with extraordinary resistance. We will fight with strength and will not allow Netanyahu to disrupt Israel with dictatorship and corruption.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid also said in the same context: Netanyahu is dismissing Ronen Bar for only one reason, which is the investigation into the “Qatargate” affair. He saw no reason to dismiss Bar after a year and a half; but when the investigation into Qatar’s influence in Netanyahu’s office and the transfer of funds to his closest aides began, Netanyahu suddenly felt an urgency to dismiss the Shin Bet chief.

Ronen Bar, who was a member of the Israeli negotiating team in the ceasefire agreement along with Mossad chief Dadi Barne, emphasized the continuation of the ceasefire for the release of all prisoners. But by removing these two people from the negotiating team and replacing them with Ron Dermer, the regime’s Minister of Strategic Affairs and someone close to Netanyahu, Netanyahu attempted to violate the ceasefire agreement and create another crisis for the Zionist regime in order to escape trial and remain in power.
