Netanyahu’s plan involves early elections and normalization with Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.

Israeli media reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intends to hold the Knesset elections, which are scheduled to be held in November 2026, in June, 3 months ahead of schedule.

According to the Kan report, Netanyahu intends to accelerate the process of normalization with Arab and Islamic countries in order to enter the election race with full hands, and in this regard, he has specifically counted on normalizing relations with Saudi Arabia and Indonesia.

Of course, Netanyahu’s planning comes at a time when Saudi Arabia continues to insist on the precondition of accepting the two-state solution based on the 2004 Arab initiative of the Beirut summit. It has made any normalization conditional on this, and at least so far, it has not retreated from this precondition in its official positions.

Earlier, the media reported that, as the Israeli regime’s crimes in Gaza escalated and Netanyahu was internationally prosecuted, Saudi Arabia had proposed his resignation as prime minister as one of the conditions for normalizing relations with the regime.

According to a report by the Zionist website iNews24, Netanyahu is drawing up a rapid timetable for his political future in the post-war period, and this electoral momentum shows that Netanyahu is in dire need of major diplomatic achievements before going to the polls.

Netanyahu hopes to be able to sign new peace agreements with prominent regional and Islamic countries, especially Saudi Arabia and Indonesia, before that date, a move aimed at fundamentally strengthening his political position.

The London-based Al Arab newspaper wrote in this regard that success in reaching normalization agreements will be a political lifeline and a decisive trump card that could change the electoral landscape in Netanyahu’s favor.
