Netanyahu’s son: Israel has become a banana republic.
According to Al Jazeera, the Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth published strong criticisms of the Israeli army and security services by Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Accordingly, Yair Netanyahu said: “Israel no longer has an army and has become more like the banana republics in South America during the 1960s.”
In response to the ongoing security investigation of his father’s office regarding some security scandals, he accused the Shin Bet of torturing Israeli officers and treating them more severely than resistance fighters.
Yair Netanyahu also described the investigation as a “coup” and criticized the Israeli army and the Attorney General’s Office, saying: “There are lies and deceptions involved. The purpose of these lies and deceptions is to conceal the events that took place during the talks between security chiefs on the night of October 7th.”
He also blamed Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar for the Al-Aqsa Storm operation on October 7th of last year, saying: “I am starting to accept that some deliberate changes were made to the security services’ instructions to blame the cabinet.”
