Netanyahu’s unfulfillable conditions for the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire.
According to the Ma’an news agency, the Israeli Channel 12 television reported that Tel Aviv and Washington will decide within the next 48 hours on sending a negotiating team to Qatar to discuss the second phase of the ceasefire agreement.
According to the report, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that the second phase of the ceasefire should include the disarmament of the Hamas movement. He also opposed the plan to transfer sovereignty over the Gaza Strip from Hamas to the Palestinian Authority.
Netanyahu asked his cabinet ministers not to publish information on this matter so as not to hinder the process of releasing Israeli prisoners.
This is despite the fact that Hamas had previously denied any talk about disarming the resistance in the Gaza Strip.
