Neutralizing ISIS’s terrorist plan on the Arbaeen pilgrimage route

PNN – The Iraqi judiciary announced the destruction of a terrorist network affiliated with ISIS that planned to target pilgrims on the Arbaeen pilgrimage to Imam Hussein (AS) by using homemade bombs and poisoning their food.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al-Mayadeen, the Iraqi Supreme Judicial Council announced that it had arrested a terrorist network that planned to target pilgrims participating in the Arbaeen procession of Imam Hussein.

According to the Iraqi judiciary, the plans of this terrorist network included manufacturing and planting homemade bombs along the pilgrims’ route on the southern axis and pouring deadly poisons into the food containers provided to the pilgrims.

The report also emphasizes that the investigation showed that the ISIS terrorist group used specific methods to recruit and brainwash its members.

According to the report, this is done through books with misleading content.

Last Thursday, Karbala province announced that it had arrested a terrorist cell consisting of 22 terrorists who planned to carry out an operation during the Arbaeen pilgrimage and target one of the Hussainiyahs on the Karbala-Najaf pilgrims’ route.
