PNN – The Global AI Impact Summit in New Delhi has become one of the most important international technology events of 2026; an event that aims to shape the future of AI governance, develop the technology responsibly, and redefine the balance of power in the digital realm.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Global Summit on the Impact of Artificial Intelligence in New Delhi, with the participation of the heads of 20 countries, managers of the world’s largest technology companies, and delegations from various countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, has become one of the most important international events in the field of technology in 2026.
The five-day Global AI Impact Summit, which began in New Delhi on February 16 and continues until March 1, is hosting political leaders, technology ministers, CEOs of major technology companies and academics from around the world. The summit will focus on the responsible development of AI, computing infrastructure, data security and the economic and social implications of the technology.
According to an official announcement by the Indian government, the leaders of 20 countries are attending the event. The President of France, the President of Brazil, and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi are among the prominent figures attending, and the Indian Prime Minister also delivered the opening speech of the summit.
A delegation from the Islamic Republic of Iran, headed by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, is attending this summit and has participated in specialized meetings related to artificial intelligence regulation, processing infrastructure, and technological cooperation. This presence is evaluated within the framework of the policy of expanding technological interactions and strengthening the technological diplomacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In his speech, the Indian Prime Minister announced that his country intends to become one of the world’s leading artificial intelligence hubs and a technology exporter to countries in the global South by developing computing infrastructure and training specialized human resources.
The French President also emphasized the need for countries to be technologically independent, calling for the development of indigenous and reliable artificial intelligence systems, and warned that dependence on a few great powers could pose serious risks to the world’s digital future.
