According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing “Al-Khalij Online” news site, Saudi Arabia is holding an international meeting on Syria with the participation of foreign ministers of Western and non-Arab countries.
On Friday night, the foreign ministers of the countries participating in the meeting, including Asad al-Shibani, the foreign minister of the transitional government of Syria, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the foreign minister of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah Al-Hiya, the foreign minister of Kuwait, Badr Abd al-Atti, the foreign minister of Egypt, Ayman Safadi Jordanian Foreign Minister, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fawad Hussein, Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan visited Riyadh.
In this meeting, ministers and officials from France, England, Germany, Italy and Spain, as well as John Bass, US Deputy Secretary of State, Gir Pederson, UN envoy for Syria, Callas, High Commissioner for Foreign Policy and Security of the European Union and Ahmed Abolghait, Secretary of the Arab League, and Jassim Al-Badawi, Secretary General of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, will participate.
