New military security agreement between the Israeli regime and Syria.
According to Ma’ariu, Amatzia Bar’em, a professor at the University of Haifa and an expert on Middle East affairs, discussed the new agreement between the Israeli regime and Ahmed al-Shara’ (al-Julani), the head of the Syrian interim government, in an interview with this Zionist newspaper today (Monday), emphasizing the common interests of the parties.
According to the new agreement, al-Julani must send his forces to the Syrian Golan Heights and arm them only with light weapons. These forces must protect the newly established border between the occupied territories and Syria.
According to Bar’em, before the agreement with the Syrian interim government, the Israeli regime had occupied areas in southern Syria and was trying to neutralize security threats against it by creating a security buffer zone. But now, with the formation of an agreement between the Israeli and Syrian authorities, this task will be the responsibility of the Golani forces.
