New York Times: Biden’s policy failed in West Asia

PNN – An American newspaper assessed the international isolation of the Zionist regime and its inability to defeat the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance as the failure of American foreign policy in West Asia.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the American newspaper “New York Times” in a note entitled “How Biden’s policy for West Asia failed” linked this failure to the personality of “Yahya Al-Sanwar”, the commander of the Al-Aqsa storm operation and the head of the political office of Hamas.

The New York Times introduced Senwar as a strategist who does not back down from implementing his plan under any circumstances.

Referring to the negative impact of the Al-Aqsa storm operation on the “Abraham Pact” for the normalization of Arab countries’ relations with the Zionist regime, this American media wrote: At a time when Israel was normalizing relations with Arab countries and the cause of Palestine was being forgotten in terms of geopolitics, Senwar reminded the world again of the suffering of the Palestinian people and the need to fight to eliminate this suffering.

The New York Times wrote: Senwar showed that Israel is vulnerable and made its legitimacy in the international system and its power disappear over time.

This western media considered the Al-Aqsa storm operation to be the cause of the Zionist regime becoming an isolated regime like the apartheid regime in South Africa.

The New York Times wrote about other effects of the Al-Aqsa storm operation: With this operation, Senwar tried to show the Palestinian Authority as a weak organization under the control of Israel and to introduce Hamas as a group that fights for (Palestine) freedom.

This American media added: On the 7th anniversary of October, there is no sign of the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, and more than 40,000 Palestinians have been killed as a result of Israeli operations, and many more are injured and displaced. Gaza has become a ruin beyond our imagination.

The New York Times wrote about the other effects of the Al-Aqsa storm operation: Israeli prisoners have not been released after a year of war, and the hope of a cease-fire agreement has been lost. The war has spread to Lebanon and we are witnessing an exchange of fire between Tel Aviv and Tehran. Israel’s international image has been damaged and it has been accused of genocide in the International Criminal Court.

This American newspaper added: Now, the realization of the Palestinian cause has become an international demand, and even in America, the new generation does not support Israel.

The New York Times quoted Richard Haas, the former head of the American Council on Foreign Relations, who wrote about the failure of Washington’s policy in West Asia: Foreign policy means exerting influence on the foreign policy of foreign governments, and America failed in this field.

This English-language media, quoting “Franklin Foer”, the senior analyst of American foreign policy, referred to Washington’s policy in West Asia as the “anatomy of failure.”

On October 7, 2023, Palestinian resistance groups launched a surprise operation called “Al-Aqsa Storm” from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the occupation regime’s positions in response to the decades of crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the Palestinians.

In order to retaliate for the surprise attacks of the “Al-Aqsa storm” and to compensate for its failure and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombing this area. The Zionist regime has also launched large-scale attacks on various areas of southern Lebanon under the pretext of fighting the resistance movement in the region, which continues to this moment.
