New York Times: Most of Yemen’s capabilities were not damaged in the US attacks.
The “New York Times” newspaper reported on Sunday morning, citing American officials, that finding targets for Friday and Saturday’s attacks in Yemen was more difficult than Washington thought.
Despite the claims of the United States and England that the aggressive attacks on military bases in Yemen were successful and that the country’s army and armed forces were unable to attack Zionist ships in the Red Sea, reports indicate that these claims are false.
The “New York Times” newspaper reported on Sunday morning, citing American officials, that finding targets for Friday and Saturday’s attacks in Yemen was more difficult than Washington thought.
The said officials – whose names were not disclosed – told this newspaper that many of the military and offensive capabilities of the Yemeni army remained intact after the US and British airstrikes.
The New York Times claimed that only approximately 20% of the missile and drone capabilities of the Yemeni army and armed forces were destroyed in these attacks.
In explaining the difficulty of identifying military targets in Yemen, American officials told this newspaper that years of neglect of the Ansarullah resistance movement and failure to collect information by American spy agencies and its allies caused this.
Earlier, the commander of the US Air Force in West Asia announced that on Friday morning, in cooperation with England, they attacked 60 targets in 16 military bases in Yemen with more than 100 guided missiles from the air and the sea. Americans carried out another aggressive attack against Yemen on Saturday morning.
