Newsweek’s account of Trump’s specific approaches to foreign policy; Is America collapsing?

PNN – The American weekly Newsweek, in a report, pointed to US President Donald Trump’s specific approaches to foreign policy and emphasized that in the first 100 days of his presidency, he has taken every opportunity to change America’s relations with the rest of the world.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the American media outlet claimed that US President Donald Trump is “redrawing the map of the world” with his unique foreign policy; a policy that Newsweek attributed to his interest in provoking US allies and his desire for quick victories.

Newsweek continued the report by citing examples of the heresies that Trump has created in American foreign policy, writing: Trump has repeatedly accused the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) of financially abusing the United States and criticized the amount of money the United States is spending on the war in Ukraine.

The report adds: This criticism led to a heated verbal altercation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in February, during which Trump accused Zelensky of “gambling to start World War III” and reminded him that he was “not grateful” for US aid to his country.

This report added: On the other hand, the Trump administration has accepted peace talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin while waging a tough tariff war against its longtime ally Canada – along with other countries around the world – and constantly emphasizes the need for Canada to join the United States as the 51st state.

At the end of this report, Newsweek quoted Barry Scott Zelen, a researcher and expert in geopolitics and international relations at the University of Connecticut, as writing: This is one of the most exciting starts to a new presidency since Mikhail Gorbachev, the last Soviet leader to reach the pinnacle of the Soviet system. But the risks Gorbachev ultimately took led to the Soviet system not only failing to reform, but also collapsing. Will we see the same thing in America?
