PNN – A well-informed source told Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed: Negotiations regarding the cease-fire in Gaza have reached an advanced stage and the exchange of prisoners through mediators.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, this knowledgeable source told Al-Araby Al-Jadeed: Hamas gave the Egyptian mediator a preliminary list and the Israeli delegation is checking the names.
He added: The parties are in an unprecedented way to reach a serious ceasefire and Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and the United States are monitoring the negotiations.
Al-Arabi al-Jadeed reported that the Hamas delegation presented the names of some Zionist prisoners, including the sick and the elderly, to the Egyptian intelligence authorities during a several-hour conversation on Sunday. This media added: an Israeli delegation is scheduled to arrive in Cairo in the next few hours to review some of the proposed clauses related to the Gaza ceasefire.
Al-Arabi al-Jadeed reported that the possible agreement includes the release of four prisoners who have American citizenship. Informed Egyptian sources are optimistic about reaching an agreement within the time period set by US President-elect Donald Trump.
This media announced that Hamas has agreed to a 60-day transition period during which all food, medicine and fuel needs will be imported into Gaza.
Al-Arabi al-Jadeed also informed about the pressure of the Egyptian intelligence authorities to convince Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority and the Fatah Movement, about agreeing to Egypt’s plan to form a social committee to support the Gaza Strip, especially after Hamas agreed in this regard.
Abdullah Abdullah, one of the leaders of the Fatah movement, said in a press release on Sunday that the Fatah movement, after deep investigations, officially announced to Egypt that he is against the plan to form a “support committee”; Because the formation of this committee will intensify the internal divide between the two parts of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
Meanwhile, the Hamas movement last Thursday evening and after extensive meetings with the Fatah movement in Cairo, issued a statement and announced its agreement with Egypt’s proposed plan to form a social committee to support Gaza through comprehensive national mechanisms.
