Okaz: Israel’s goal is complete domination over Arab countries, not normalization with them.
In light of the growing debate on the issue of normalizing relations between Arab countries and the Zionist regime and the US’s efforts to lure other Arabs into a compromise with this regime, a Saudi media outlet examined Israel’s goals in the war in Gaza and in normalizing relations with Arab countries.
Israel seeks to make regional countries surrender
The Saudi newspaper Okaz stated in an article to this effect: One of Israel’s most important goals in the war against Gaza is to restore its lost deterrence and achieve a position of regional hegemony, and other goals such as returning Israeli prisoners, eliminating Palestinian resistance, reoccupying Gaza, or even displacing the residents of this strip are merely secondary goals that do not come close to the larger strategic goal. Israel seeks to establish strategic deterrence and impose its reality and demands on all parties in the region, especially neighboring Arab countries.
The Saudi media outlet added: Israel seeks to impose a strategic reality based on having powerful deterrent elements; of course, not because it prevents its enemies from entering into any confrontation with this regime, even at the political level, but rather because Israel aims to subjugate all parties in the region to its strategy, so the goal that Israel pursues in normalizing relations with Arab countries goes beyond imposing a compromise situation.
Israel seeks complete dominance over Arab countries, not normalization with them
The rest of this article emphasizes; the normalization situation between Arab countries and Israel, which has been discussed these days as one of the most important developments after the Gaza war, is not, from the perspective of Israelis and the decision-makers of this regime, a way to ensure the future of Israel’s existence in the region or guarantee its internal security. In other words, Israel’s deterrence theory is not based on the principle of mutual equality with the countries of the region and coexistence with them; Rather, it is based on imposing forced dependence on the other side, to the extent that this regime can directly dominate the internal affairs of the countries in the region, so that no decision is made, even at the level of the internal politics of the said countries, without consulting Israel and its green light. This means that Israel wants all the countries in the region to be occupied by this regime in various forms.
