Olmert: Gaza is Palestinian land and the Israeli army must withdraw from it

PNN – The former Israeli Prime Minister emphasized that Gaza is Palestinian land and that the Israeli regime must withdraw from it.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert emphasized in an interview with Al Jazeera that the Gaza Strip belongs to the Palestinians and the presence of Israeli soldiers there must end.

He went on to strongly criticize the current government of the regime, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and called for serious changes in the power structure.

In this interview, Olmert stated: Terrorists like Ben-Guir and Smotrich must be expelled from the government.

He added: It is necessary to elect a new government that is capable of achieving peace and improving Israel’s image globally, because the Netanyahu government has destroyed Israel’s image in the world.

Olmert also mentioned the role of international actors in stopping the war and, praising Trump, said again: I have confidence in US President Donald Trump and his special envoy, Steve Whittaker, and I believe they can influence Netanyahu to stop the war.

He said: Witkoff informed me today that the new proposal could lead to the return of Israeli prisoners from Gaza.

Olmert concluded by emphasizing: The two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital is the only path to achieving peace in the region.
