According to a statement issued by the Omani Foreign Ministry on Thursday, citing the official Oman News Agency, it was stated that Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidy met this morning in Geneva with US President’s envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner (Trump’s son-in-law) within the framework of the ongoing (indirect) negotiations between Iran and the United States.
The statement continued: In his meeting with Kushner and Whittkof, Al-Busaidy reviewed the views and proposals of the Iranian side and the answers and questions of the American negotiating team regarding addressing the main axes of Iran’s nuclear program and the necessary guarantees to reach a favorable agreement on this important file in all its technical and regulatory aspects.

The foreign ministers of Iran and Oman met and discussed this morning, hours before the start of the Iran-US talks, in Geneva, Switzerland (the venue for the third round of indirect Iran-US talks).
The Omani Foreign Ministry had previously announced in a statement on Thursday morning that Badr Al-Busaidi and Abbas Araqchi met with their Iranian counterparts in Geneva within the framework of Iran-US negotiations.
According to the statement, the two sides discussed Iran’s proposals with the aim of reaching an agreement on the country’s nuclear program.
The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States returned to the negotiating table nearly eight months after leaving the negotiating table, whose foundations Tel Aviv targeted; indirect negotiations, still mediated by the Sultanate of Oman.
The only formal difference in this possible chain of negotiations is the presence of Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s son-in-law, alongside Steve Whittaker, the US President’s special representative, and of course, the presence of Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, as one of the attendees in the negotiating room.
The Iranian delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, along with the political, legal, and international deputies, and of course the deputy for economic diplomacy, has so far held two rounds of negotiations with the American delegation on February 7 and 10 in Muscat and Geneva.
