Opposition of Oxfam to the plan to drop food parcels through the sky for the residents of Gaza

PNN – Oxfam organization (an organization consisting of 15 organizations in 98 countries of the world and one of the largest international relief organizations to eradicate poverty, hunger and injustice) criticized the US policies regarding the war between the Zionist regime and Hamas in Gaza and emphasized: This organization opposes the US plan to airdrop food packages to Gaza.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoting from Al Jazeera, Scott Paul, the head of humanitarian policies at Oxfam, said in a statement regarding the US plan to drop food packages to Gaza through the sky: Such actions will never be able to compensate for the effects of the destructive policies of the United States towards Gaza, which have led to the risk of severe famine and starvation among the residents of this region.

Emphasizing that throwing meager and symbolic aid to Gaza will not solve any of the countless problems of the people of Gaza, the statement stated: The American authorities only want to cover up their support for the brutal actions and crimes of the Zionist regime’s soldiers in Gaza with this action.

The statement added: While the Palestinians in Gaza are pushed to the brink of absolute precipice, showering these meager and symbolic aids on the residents of Gaza without any plan for their safe and proper distribution will not only do them no good, but is humiliating.

According to this statement, before taking any action, the American authorities should stop the flow of lethal weapons to Israel, which the military of this regime uses in their brutal and continuous attacks against the Palestinian people.

Dozens of Palestinians were killed Thursday around an aid convoy in northern Gaza. Hamas blamed Israeli forces for firing into the Palestinian crowd, while Israel claimed that most of the casualties were caused by a stampede among Palestinians as the crowd stormed the trucks and looted them.

Gaza health authorities say that at least 104 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli attack, and the number of Palestinian casualties reached more than 30,000 during the 5-month war.

On October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally (November 24, 2023), a four-day temporary ceasefire was established, or the pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and the Zionist regime.

This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally (December 1, 2023) the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.

In order to retaliate against the “Al-Aqsa Storm” attacks, compensate for its defeat and stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area.
