Pakistan and China signed 23 cooperation agreements

PNN – During the official visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to China, the two countries signed 23 memorandums and cooperation agreements in the fields of energy, transportation, industry, agriculture and media.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from Pakistan’s national television, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif met with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang today along with a high-ranking Pakistani delegation in Beijing.

The meeting of the high-level delegations of the two countries was also held under the chairmanship of the Prime Ministers of Pakistan and China. The commander of the Pakistani army and the defense minister of this country also accompanied Shahbaz Sharif in this meeting.

In these talks, the heads of Pakistan and China discussed a wide range of important issues in bilateral relations, regional and global developments.

They noted that the Pakistan-China strategic partnership is characterized by mutual trust, common principles and strategic convergence.

The Chinese Prime Minister congratulated Pakistan on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

The two countries reaffirmed their unwavering support for each other on major national, regional and international issues and renewed their continued support for the high-quality development of the Pakistan-China Joint Economic Corridor (CPEC).

They also emphasized on timely completion of all existing projects with special focus on industrial development, agricultural modernization, science and technology and development of special economic zones for socio-economic development of Pakistan.

Further, 23 memorandums and cooperation agreements between Pakistan and China were signed in the presence of the prime ministers of the two countries. Shahbaz Sharif is going to meet the President of China today.
