Pakistan announced public mourning.
According to Al Jazeera news website, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, referring to the crash of the helicopter of Iran’s President Seyed Ibrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation and their martyrdom, expressed his solidarity with Iran and expressed his condolences to the Iranian nation.
Sharif also expressed his condolences on the martyrdom of the President of Iran on his X page and announced: As a sign of respect for the President and his companions and in solidarity with brotherly Iran, Pakistan will hold a day of public mourning and the country’s flag will be half-raised.
Yesterday, the helicopter carrying the president and his entourage had an accident on the way back from Khodaafrin region to Tabriz in bad weather conditions. The harsh weather conditions and the location of the region had made it difficult to identify the place of the accident, and finally, this morning, the body of Martyr Raisi and his accompanying delegation, including Hossein Amir Abdullahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of our country, were discovered and identified next to the wreckage of the crashed helicopter.
