The Pakistani army issued a statement stating that during the elections, more than 150,000 troops ensured the security of the polling centers.

Referring to the attacks on the election day of this country, the Pakistani army noted that 51 terrorist attacks, mostly in the states of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, occurred during the elections, in which 10 security forces were killed and 39 others were injured.
Anwarul Haq Kakar, the acting Prime Minister of Pakistan, also stated that despite the terrorist incidents, the participation in the elections was very high and the efforts of the army, police and Election Commission of Pakistan are commendable.
The voting process started at 8 am on Thursday local time and ended at 5 pm.
According to the reports of the authorities and the media, about 128 million people had registered to vote.
