Pakistan calls for deterrent and aggressive measures to repel the Zionist regime’s plans.

Speaking at the preparatory meeting of the Arab-Islamic Foreign Ministers hosted by the State of Qatar, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, said today (Sunday) that we should pursue the suspension of Israel’s membership in the United Nations in accordance with the call of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as pursuing this step would be a clear message of the seriousness of the Islamic Ummah.

He said that member states should actively consider implementing additional punitive measures against Israel as a means of strengthening accountability and preventing further violations of international law.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan urged the members of the UN Security Council to immediately call on Israel to immediately, unconditionally, and permanently cease fire, release of Palestinian prisoners and exchange of prisoners, in accordance with Chapter VII of the UN Charter.

He stressed that the issue of holding Israel accountable is a test of the credibility of the global system. Arab-Islamic countries must address this challenge with unity, determination, and will.

Senator Ishaq Dar added that Pakistan, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, wants to establish an Arab-Islamic special group to monitor the Zionist regime’s plans in the region and to take effective deterrent and offensive measures in a coordinated manner to repel the expansionist plans of this regime.

He said: The Security Council should be asked to impose a cost on Israel if it defies the demands and will of the international community. The UN Security Council should approve executive measures, including the deployment of an international protection force to save the besieged population in Gaza.
