Pakistan Foreign Ministry Spokesperson: Genocide promoters’ remarks are not worth responding to.
During his weekly press conference in Islamabad, Shafqat Ali Khan, in response to Netanyahu’s provocative statements and his attempt to justify the Zionist regime’s aggression against Qatar and compare it to the operation to kill Osama bin Laden on Pakistani soil (by the US), added: “The words of those who are involved in promoting genocide are not worth responding to.”
He added: “We are closely following the ongoing events in the Middle East and in Pakistan’s neighborhood.”
The spokesperson for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said: “We openly declare that Pakistan is fully capable of defending itself against any external threat and at the same time is a responsible nuclear state and advocates for regional peace and stability.”
Shafqat Ali Khan emphasized: “Any untoward incident or threat against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan will be met with a decisive response.”
Yesterday, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmed, while attending an emergency meeting of the Security Council to review Israel’s recent aggression against Qatar, reacted to the words of the representative of the Zionist regime and said: Israel is an aggressor and occupier regime and has no right to speak about international law, social norms and humanitarian laws.
He added: The Israeli representative did not listen to the discussion of the meeting and the speeches of all the members of the Council. And in our opinion, this is unacceptable.
The Permanent Representative of Pakistan emphasized: In fact, it is ridiculous that an aggressor, an occupier and a serial violator of the UN Charter and international law – namely Israel – would misuse this meeting and disrespect the sanctity of this Council. This is not the first time.
