Pakistan: India acts as judge, jury and executioner

PNN – Condemning the military and diplomatic actions of India, the Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman accused New Delhi of unilateral aggression, targeting civilians, and blatant violation of international treaties.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from the Tribune newspaper website, Pakistani media reported that the country’s Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning India’s recent military actions and declaring that New Delhi had unilaterally launched cross-border attacks without providing credible evidence, acting as “judge, jury, and executioner.”

Shafqat Ali Khan, spokesman for the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, warned that these actions violate international norms and pose a serious threat to regional peace.

Referring to the Pathankot and Mumbai cases, he said that investigations in these areas have not been completed due to India’s continued lack of cooperation. He accused New Delhi of ignoring its documented role in destabilizing the region.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman described the remarks of Indian Navy Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav as a living example of India’s direct involvement in terrorist activities on Pakistani soil, and attributed the bombing of the Samjhauta Express train, which killed a number of civilians, including children, to Hindu extremist groups linked to India’s ruling party.

Rejecting India’s claim of targeting military infrastructure, he said that civilians, including women and children, had been martyred in the recent airstrikes. He said that some of the targets of these attacks were mosques and the Neelum Dam, indicating a deliberate attempt to target the civilian population of Pakistan.

Referring to the water disputes between the two countries, he said that the Indus Waters Treaty has been in place so far, but India’s unilateral suspension of commitments is illegal and a sign of blatant disregard for international treaties. He emphasized that Pakistan is an agricultural country and India’s actions are seen as a direct attack on the people and economy of Pakistan.

The Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman, following up on the recent statements by the Indian Deputy Foreign Minister, called them “undiplomatic and irresponsible” and said: More was expected from India.

He added: India itself took the Kashmir issue to the UN and is now refusing to fulfill its commitments. New Delhi is the main source of instability in South Asia and has prevented any serious regional cooperation.
