PNN – Pakistani officials warned, as the country’s army began a major military exercise near its shared border with India, that any conflict with India would have dangerous consequences for regional peace and stability and international security.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Pakistani Army Spokesperson General Ahmed Sharif discussed the latest developments related to tensions with India in a joint press conference in Islamabad today.
Emphasizing the rejection of New Delhi’s accusations against Islamabad after the Pahalgam attack in Indian Kashmir, they said that they consider India’s action to shut off water as a full-scale war against us, and that Pakistan considers an appropriate response to such provocative actions inevitable.
The Pakistani military spokesman said that the armed forces, along with the government and its people, are fully prepared for any foreign aggression from the eastern neighbor.
He warned that Pakistan has made many sacrifices in the war against terrorism, which plays an important role in stabilizing regional and global security, so any confrontation with India will have serious consequences for regional and global peace and security.

Pakistani officials’ statements about the strong possibility of any Indian attack on the country come at a time when the Pakistani army’s large-scale military exercise in various areas of Punjab province near the common borders with India began yesterday.
Pakistani Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar also said that our readiness is complete and that the country’s government and intelligence agencies are closely monitoring the current situation with India, and that any miscalculation by the Indians will be responded to strongly.
Gunmen opened fire on a group of tourists in the tourist area of ​​Pehelgam, about 90 kilometers from Srinagar in Indian Kashmir, killing at least 27 people on Tuesday evening. Indian officials described the incident as a terrorist attack and alleged Pakistani involvement in the attack.
The Pakistani military claimed yesterday that it had shot down two Indian spy drones along the Line of Control (Kashmir). In turn, India accuses Pakistani border forces of violating the ceasefire along the Kashmir border and firing into Indian Territory.
Pakistani media also published images for the first time today of the exchange of fire between the country’s military and Indian border guards on the Line of Control in Kashmir.
