According to the report of Pakistan News Network, in her weekly press conference in Islamabad, Mumtaz Zahra said in response to a question about the meeting between the President of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezishkiyan, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, in New York: Iran is our close neighbor and brother, and holding official meetings at higher levels is always on the agenda of the two countries.
She said: Iran and Pakistan talk and cooperate with each other through various communication channels, which include various aspects, especially commercial and economic relations.
Mumtaz Zahra emphasized about the idea of ​​Dr. Pezishkiyan about creating a wide rail and road communication network between the countries of the region and to facilitate exchanges and relations between people and said: Pakistan is committed to strengthening the traditional and brotherly relations with Iran and eagerly wants to open new avenues of cooperation between the two brotherly countries.
According to this report, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezishkiyan, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, met and discussed in New York on Wednesday local time.
Referring to his idea to create a wide rail and road communication network between the countries of the region, to facilitate exchanges and interactions between people, the president said: The implementation of this idea requires a comprehensive plan that includes all security, political, economic and communication requirements. This plan can accelerate growth and progress and bring the people of the region closer to each other and provide the interests of all countries.
The leaders of Iran and Pakistan agreed that a joint working group will examine the fields of expanding economic and commercial cooperation as well as solving the problems facing the gas pipeline between the two countries.
