Pakistani activists are vigorously protesting the live broadcast of Trump’s speech in the Israeli parliament.

Shirin Mazari, a political commentator and former human rights minister of Pakistan, expressed her shock and disapproval regarding the live broadcast of Donald Trump’s speech in the Israeli parliament by certain Pakistani television channels. She stated, “We in Pakistan do not recognize the rogue state of Israel; how can we broadcast the parliamentary sessions of this terrorist regime live?” Mazari further questioned, “Have we forgotten the genocide committed against the Palestinians by these terrorists, which continues to this day?”

Nader Baloch, a prominent figure in Pakistani online discourse, noted, “For the first time in history, Pakistani media broadcasted the speech of the US President in the Israeli parliament live.”

The Imamia Students Organization condemned the live broadcast of Trump’s speech, calling it “shameful” and contrary to the ideals of the Islamic Ummah and Pakistan’s principled stance in support of the Palestinians.

In response to Trump’s speech at the Sharm el-Sheikh conference, Grand Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani of Pakistan remarked, “Nearly 70,000 people in Gaza sacrificed their lives to uphold the Palestinian cause. The person who considers himself a hero of the ceasefire is, in fact, complicit with the Zionist regime in the genocide of the people of Gaza. He vetoed all ceasefire resolutions in the Security Council and fully recognized Israel by transferring the American embassy to occupied Jerusalem.”

The Pakistan Muslim Unity Party issued a statement urging the country’s Electronic Media Regulatory Authority to take serious action against television networks that aired Trump’s speech. The statement emphasized that the live broadcast of the Israeli parliament session by several Pakistani media outlets represents not only irresponsible journalism but also a clear rebellion against Pakistan’s ideological identity, the foreign policy established by the late founder Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and the collective stance of the Muslim Ummah.

The party reminded that the founder of Pakistan had declared, “Palestine belongs to Muslims, and we cannot accept Zionist rule over it under any circumstances.” They argued that abandoning this historically principled position and broadcasting the Israeli parliamentary session constitutes a blow to Pakistan’s ideology, constitutional spirit, and national pride.

The Pakistan Muslim Unity Council warned that the people, the journalistic community, and religious and political stakeholders must remain vigilant on this ideological front. They cautioned that any attempt to recognize Israel would deviate from the foundation of Pakistan, which is rooted in faith in God and the unity of the Muslim world.

Shaheer Haider Malik, the head of the Pakistan Ideology Party, addressed the officials of the networks that broadcast Trump’s speech, saying, “Do not turn Pakistan into an American settlement. With whose permission did you air the Israeli parliament session live?” He criticized Trump’s remarks against Iran and the Resistance Front and insisted that those responsible for the broadcast should be held accountable, stating, “If you do not have an answer, you should resign.”

Saber Abu Maryam, Secretary General of the Palestine Foundation in Karachi, also condemned the live broadcast of Trump’s speech, asserting, “The historical thoughts of the late founder of Pakistan concerning Palestine and the rejection of the illegal establishment of the Zionist regime are upheld by the Pakistani regime and its people. Any action against this stance is shameful and destined to fail.”

According to IRNA, the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Conference was held yesterday with the participation of leaders and representatives from over 20 countries, during which an agreement was signed between the Hamas movement and the Zionist regime.
