PNN – The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate of Pakistan welcomed the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Islamabad, and evaluated and emphasized that this visit is aimed at strengthening the friendly relations between the two neighboring countries, and said: Islamabad supports Tehran’s diplomacy in confronting the threats of the Zionist regime and strengthening stability in the region.
Senator Irfan Siddiqui, one of Pakistan’s veteran politicians and the representative of the country’s ruling faction in the Senate, said in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, at the same time as Foreign Minister Syed Abbas Araghchi was present in Islamabad: The nation and the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran have high value and respect in Pakistan, and we are proud of our heartfelt love for our Iranian brothers.
Referring to the numerous visits of high-ranking officials of Iran and Pakistan to each other’s countries and mutual support in regional and international forums, Senator Sediqi said: We consider Mr. Araghchi’s visit to Pakistan as a new step in the direction of strengthening these traditional relations and the like-mindedness of the two governments to ensure the expansion of bilateral cooperation, especially efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
He emphasized: We in the Parliament of Pakistan are strong supporters of strengthening relations with the government and people of Iran in all fields of cooperation, including economic, cultural, political, parliamentary, scientific and academic. And due to the existence of parliamentary friendship groups in the parliaments of the two countries, our responsibility to play a role alongside the governments with the aim of expanding relations is heavier.

Condemnation of unilateral US sanctions
The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Senate of Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of developing trade relations and economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, said: We are aware of the unilateral US sanctions against Iran, which we strongly condemn.
He added: Americans have committed an illegal act in sanctioning Iran, however, we in Pakistan want the sustainable development of bilateral trade relations with Iran and we must provide new opportunities for each other.
Irfan Siddiqui emphasized the need to expand Pakistan’s bilateral cooperation with Iran in the fields of energy, oil, transportation and utilization of port capacities.
Iran’s admirable approach in dealing with Israel’s threats
The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate of Pakistan, emphasizing the country’s commitment to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran, condemned the aggression committed by the Zionist regime against Iran and said: Unfortunately, Israel attacked our friend and neighbor Iran with the unreserved support of America and other western countries at the same time as the continuation of the crimes against humanity against the people of Gaza and Lebanon.
The representative of Muslim League Nawaz party in the Senate of Pakistan said: We are confident that the results of the important visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Islamabad will benefit the relations of both countries, especially strengthening the alignment of Tehran and Islamabad to defend the Palestinian people and help to maintain peace and security in the region.
He emphasized: Iran’s diplomacy for regional peace and at the same time confronting Israel’s threats is admirable, and we strongly support the approach of our neighbor Iran.
The Chairman of the Foreign Relations Commission of the Senate of Pakistan added: Unlike some Islamic-Arab countries in the region that have not taken any steps to help the Palestinians, we should be proud of Iran’s diplomacy.
The enemies of Iran and Pakistan are friends of Israel
Referring to the importance of the security issue in Iran-Pakistan cooperation, Senator Siddiqui added: Both countries have made fruitful efforts to promote peace and security in the common border strip, although enemies are lurking and are seeking to destroy these traditional and brotherly relations between the two neighbors through heinous acts of terrorism.
He said: I strongly believe that third parties or forces are trying to harm the efforts of Iran and Pakistan in the direction of the security of the common borders; the elements that fight in the Golan region and obey some foreign powers.
This veteran Pakistani politician added: Iran and Pakistan have common enemies who have created common threats, and these enemies are even considered friends of the Zionist regime, so we must be alert to the poisonous movements of these elements.
