Pakistan’s ambassador: Israel’s attack on Iran’s consulate endangered peace in the region

PNN – The ambassador and deputy representative of Pakistan in the United Nations demanded that the Israeli war machine stop the genocide of the people of Gaza and added: The Israeli occupation regime‘s attempt to expand the war in Gaza, especially the invasion of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, has threatened the peace of the region.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the Public Relations Office of Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Usman Khan Jadoun, during a speech at the Security Council meeting on the issue of Palestine and the Middle East, emphasized that stopping the genocide in Gaza, preventing the escalation of the war and reviving the peace process to solve the Palestinian issue is one of the main duties of the UN Security Council.

He stated: We are witnessing what we feared. Israel is trying to expand the Gaza war, which will severely affect the peace and security of the Middle East and world peace.

The Pakistani ambassador added that after Israel’s aggression in the West Bank, Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq, the aggression against the Iranian Consulate General in Damascus has also endangered regional peace.

He called for restraint and de-escalation in the Middle East and emphasized: until the Israeli war machine does not stop the continuous killing of the people of Gaza, there will be a great risk of spreading violence and war, and it will spread not only to the Middle East but beyond.

Osman Jadoun added: Palestinian membership in the United Nations will be a step towards correcting historical injustice and affirming their right to self-determination. It will also create a political reality that can help resolve the Palestinian conflict, including the formation of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Ministry of Health of Gaza has announced that the number of Palestinian martyrs has increased to 34 thousand and 305 people since the beginning of the aggression of this regime’s army on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023.

The Palestinian resistance groups started the “Al-Aqsa Storm” operation from Gaza against the positions of the Israeli regime, and finally, after 45 days of fighting and fighting, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established on November 24, 2023, or the same as a pause for the exchange of prisoners.

This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on Friday morning (December 1, 2023) the temporary ceasefire ended and the Zionist regime resumed its attacks against Gaza.
