The terrorist elements of the Jaish al-Zalum group attacked an Iranian border post in Rask city of Sistan and Baluchistan province on December 24, killing 11 border guards and injuring 6 others.

On the other hand, yesterday, Thursday, Pakistan attacked a village near Saravan region in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchistan province; An action that caused Islamabad to be condemned by Tehran. Also, Iran asked the authorities of Islamabad to clarify about this.
With the easing of tensions between the two countries, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani had a phone conversation with Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian on Friday.
In this telephone conversation, Pakistan’s foreign minister emphasized to his Iranian counterpart the necessity of restoring diplomatic relations between the two neighboring countries.
In the continuation of this telephone consultation, Jalil Abbas Jilani, in a conversation with his Iranian counterpart, emphasized the need for greater cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad in the field of security issues.
