Pakistan’s reaction to Knesset bill: The international community must hold Israel accountable.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson’s Office issued a statement saying that Pakistan condemned Israel’s attempt to extend its so-called “sovereignty” over parts of the occupied West Bank, including the illegal Zionist settlements.
The statement said: “These Zionist actions are a clear violation of international law, UN Security Council resolutions and the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.” It also stressed that such actions undermine ongoing efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
Pakistan calls on the international community to take immediate and decisive steps to stop these illegal actions and hold the occupying Israeli forces accountable for their continued violations of international law.
The Foreign Office also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to working with regional and international partners to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination, and called for ensuring peace, justice, and dignity for the Palestinians.
According to IRNA, the approval of two draft laws in the Israeli Knesset to annex the West Bank and the settlement of “Ma’aleh Adumim” in East Jerusalem has brought a wave of reaction and condemnation from countries, institutions, and personalities.
