Palestine to Algeria: Stand up to US resolution against Gaza in the Security Council

Algeria

PNN – Palestinian resistance groups, including Hamas, stressed that the U.S.-drafted resolution on Gaza is part of a plot to impose international guardianship over the Strip and erase the Palestinian cause. They urged Algeria to stand firm in its principled position of supporting Palestine and to oppose the resolution.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Palestinian resistance factions in statements — which last night declared their categorical rejection of the U.S. draft submitted to the UN Security Council — called on Algeria to maintain its consistent stance in international forums and firmly reject any initiative that targets Gaza’s identity.

Speaking to Al Mayadeen, the groups said Algeria’s historic position, and the fact that it has never abandoned Palestine, offers genuine hope to the Palestinian people in confronting a dangerous project that seeks to impose a new form of occupation under an international cover.

They added that the Palestinian people see in Algeria the true embodiment of an honorable Arab national stand — a country capable of speaking truth in the face of pressure and external dictates.

The resistance groups further stressed that any foreign intervention in Gaza, under any label or pretext, violates Palestinian sovereignty and prolongs the suffering of its people. They said the only path to security and stability lies in ending the occupation, lifting the blockade, and respecting the will and rights of the Palestinian people.

The groups went on to call on all Arab and Muslim countries, as well as free people around the world, to confront this plot targeting the Palestinian people. They urged them to reject any form of guardianship or foreign intervention in Palestine and to defend Gaza’s right to freedom, dignity, and independence.

This stance comes as the Palestinian resistance closely follows ongoing efforts at the United Nations to pass the U.S.-drafted resolution calling for the deployment of international forces in the Gaza Strip. The groups regard this move as a new scheme aimed at imposing another form of occupation on the Palestinian people and their land, legitimizing foreign control, and destroying the future of the Palestinian cause.
