Palestinian aid organizations: The killing of aid workers is unprecedented in the history of the modern century

PNN – Following the discovery of a video of the field execution of Palestinian rescue workers and firefighters by the Israeli army, the Palestine Red Crescent Society and the Gaza Civil Defense called for the formation of an international committee to investigate this unprecedented crime in the history of the modern century.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed newspaper, the Civil Defense Organization in the Gaza Strip issued a statement on the matter, stating that the execution of Palestinian rescue workers and firefighters by Israeli army forces is a crime that exceeds the bounds of imagination and is unprecedented in the history of the modern century.

The organization also called for the formation of an international committee affiliated with the United Nations to investigate the deliberate execution of medical and relief personnel and to prosecute the Zionist regime.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society also issued a statement: The video released was obtained from the mobile phone of martyred aid worker Rifaat Radwan, whose body was recently discovered in a mass grave in Gaza. The grave contains the bodies of 15 members of the aid and rescue teams who were targeted by Israeli forces on March 23.

The statement said: The video clearly shows that the ambulances and fire trucks in which these individuals were traveling had clear emergency signs and lights on, which completely refutes the Israeli army’s claims that these vehicles were accidentally targeted or that they were moving “suspiciously” without lights or emergency signs.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society further emphasized that this video reveals the truth of the incident and clearly refutes the official narrative of the Zionist regime.

Previously, the American newspaper The New York Times published a video exposing the falsehood of the Israeli regime’s narrative about the martyrdom of members of the Red Crescent and Gaza Civil Defense teams in the southern Gaza Strip.

In the video published by the New York Times, it is clearly seen that the emergency warning lights on the Red Crescent ambulances and fire truck were on moments before the sound of heavy gunfire was heard.

The Israeli regime had claimed that emergency vehicles without lights or emergency signs and without prior coordination had moved suspiciously towards the regime’s forces, which led to shooting at them.

The Zionist newspaper Haaretz also reported that the video was found on the mobile phone of one of the martyred aid workers. The aid worker was found in a mass grave with 15 other aid workers who were martyred in the Israeli attack on Gaza on March 23. The video shows that the ambulances and fire trucks clearly had identification markings and their emergency lights were on when the Israeli forces opened fire.

According to Haaretz, the release of the video came after the Israeli army claimed last week that its forces had not targeted emergency vehicles and had only responded to vehicles that approached them suspiciously and without warning signs.

The Zionist newspaper Haaretz also reported that the video was provided to the media by a senior UN diplomat who asked not to be named.
