PNN – The ambassador of the Palestinian Authority in London welcomed the cease-fire agreement in the Gaza Strip, described this development as an opportunity to restore Palestinian national unity, achieve freedom and end the occupation, and stated that the Palestinian people should rule their own destiny.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, in an interview with the BBC, Hossam Zamlat considered the ceasefire agreement in Gaza to be a late response to the humanitarian crisis in this strip and added: “Suffering, pain and human losses during this time have been enormous. Now is the time for healing, caring for the wounded and rebuilding the lives of people in Gaza. But we must not allow the situation to return to pre-war conditions. This is the moment to end the occupation and start the path of freedom.”
Referring to the role of the international community in the implementation of this agreement, he said: The international community was able to reach this point by putting pressure on the Zionist regime. Now we have a duty to fully implement this agreement and take steps to lift the siege and rebuild Gaza.

Emphasizing the need for Palestinian unity, the ambassador of the Palestinian Authority said: The Palestinian nation has national and state institutions that represent the unity of the people, the land and the political system. Only the legitimate government of Palestine should be responsible for the administration of Gaza, the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Any foreign interference in the internal affairs of Palestinians is unacceptable.
Zamlat called on the international community to help in the reconstruction of Gaza and provide the basic needs of the people. He added: Providing unimpeded access to humanitarian aid and infrastructure reconstruction is essential. This includes building schools, hospitals and providing shelter for thousands of displaced children and families.
The Zionist regime, with the support of the United States, has launched a devastating war against the residents of the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, as a result of which, in addition to massive destruction and deadly famine, thousands of Palestinians, most of whom are women and children, were martyred and injured.
Despite all these crimes, the Zionist regime has admitted that after 15 months of war, it has not yet been able to achieve its goals of this war, which is to destroy the Hamas movement and return the Zionist prisoners from the Gaza Strip.
