Palestinian Ambassador to UN: Netanyahu ended ceasefire for domestic political reasons

PNN – Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian Authority’s ambassador to the United Nations, said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement for domestic political reasons, adding that “life was triumphing over death” until Israel abandoned the ceasefire agreement.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Riyad Mansour, the Palestinian Authority’s ambassador to the United Nations, said on Tuesday local time at a Security Council meeting about the situation in Palestine: There should be no unilateral, selfish, and irresponsible decisions to provide an excuse for violating the ceasefire.

The Palestinian official added that while the Trump administration has prioritized the release of prisoners, it is obvious that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s concern for his own political survival is much greater than his concern for the survival of the hostages.

Mansour added: Israel continues to seek “the forced mass displacement of the people of Gaza.”

The Palestinian ambassador said that Israel is also prohibited from “demographic or territorial change” in Gaza, but that these remain the main objectives of Israel’s war.

The Palestinian ambassador to the UN continued that Israel’s bombing campaign is already beginning to produce new and devastating images of Palestinian suffering that define the war.

Netanyahu: We will continue the Gaza attacks until we achieve our goals.

He added: Similar images are being repeated. Little children on carts, little siblings injured and wandering trying to comfort each other, families completely destroyed, children, mothers, fathers, searching for their loved ones under the rubble, not knowing if they are dead or alive.

Following the start of a new round of Israeli attacks on Gaza, coordinated by the United States, residential homes, schools, refugee centers, and refugee camps have been targeted with heavy attacks.

The White House announced that Israel consulted with the administration of US President Donald Trump before attacking Gaza.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced on Tuesday in its latest statistics that since the resumption of Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, 412 Palestinian citizens, including women and children, have been martyred since this morning and more than 500 people have been injured.

The Gaza Health Ministry has warned that the number of casualties will increase as the attacks continue.

According to the ministry, Gaza hospitals are facing severe shortages of medicine, medical equipment, and fuel, and this crisis has brought medical conditions to a point of collapse.

The director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza also stressed that there are only four intensive care beds left in the entire northern Gaza Strip, and many of the injured are losing their lives due to the lack of medical facilities.

He also reported severe difficulties in accessing bombed areas to rescue victims, saying: We hear the voices of the victims from under the rubble, but we cannot save them.
