PNN – In a conversation with Tasnim reporter, a Palestinian expert on West Asian affairs said that a ground attack on Gaza will not be a simple picnic for the Israeli military, pointing out the lack of a comprehensive plan in the Zionist army to carry out a ground attack on the Gaza Strip.
According to the Pakistan News Network, in an exclusive conversation with Tasnim news agency, Hassan Marhej, an expert on West Asian issues from occupied Palestine, stated that despite the extensive preparations of the Zionist army to start a ground operation against Gaza, the evidence indicates that this attack has been delayed in the current situation.
Marhej further added: Many factors have caused the delay in the beginning of this attack, including the critical and heartbreaking human situation in the Gaza Strip, the uncertainty surrounding the fate of the Zionist prisoners in the Palestinian resistance and the fear of the response of the Palestinian resistance groups and military power.
He claimed that in addition to the shock of the Al-Aqsa storm operation, the Israeli army lacks a comprehensive plan to design and execute a ground attack on the Gaza Strip, as a result of the above-mentioned factors; the scenario of a ground attack on Gaza is not a simple picnic for the Israeli army.

This expert on West Asian issues further added that the Israeli authorities are well aware of the fact that a ground campaign will result in heavy human losses for the Zionist army, which the Israeli society can never bear. Therefore, the officials of this regime are forced to consider precise equations and calculations.
Hassan Marhej continued to analyze the positions of major international powers regarding the developments in the West Asian region, especially after the Al-Aqsa storm operation and said: In addition to Netanyahu’s cabinet, the Americans also have their own considerations in this field, as evidenced by the visit of American political officials such as the Minister of Defense and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Israel. In addition, US President Joe Biden also visited the occupied territories today, and German Chancellor Olaf Schultz also met with Netanyahu yesterday in Tel Aviv. On the other hand, there is a possibility that today there will be a conversation between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He said that the ultimate goal of this Russian diplomatic effort is to de-escalate tensions, prevent Israel’s ground attack and stop the blind bombing of residential areas and the genocide of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip by the Israeli Air Force, because the victims of these barbaric attacks are children, women and civilians.
In response to a question about America’s approach to the sides of this battle, especially Washington’s long-standing support for the Zionist regime and the sense of threat from the opening of tension on the northern front with the Lebanese Islamic resistance, Marhaj said: Americans have a tangible fear of the opening of other battle fronts by the axis of resistance; Therefore, significant pressures are placed on Lebanon and other governments in this regard.
He continued: In the same direction, the Zionist regime organized airstrikes on Damascus and Aleppo airports so that the Islamic Republic of Iran does not provide aid to the resistance groups in Lebanon and Syria. In fact, the repeated bombing of Syrian airports by the Israeli army confirms their deep concern.
In the final part of his conversation with Tasnim news agency, this expert on West Asian issues said in response to a question about the possibility of America entering this battle: America may enter conflicts, but if this scenario is realized, heavy damages will be inflicted on Washington’s interests. In addition, some of America’s regional allies may also suffer a heavy price due to their shameful positions in association with the Zionist regime, because the anger and social pressure in these countries do not reflect such shameful positions.
